I’m doing a social experiment called ‘agreeing with boys when they compliment you’. 

the results: 

it is completely astonishing how self-love (particularly women’s self-love) is deemed unacceptable. We’re supposed to CONSTANTLY work toward being beautiful, smart, sexy, funny, interesting, etc. while NEVER being allowed to acknowledge that we actually are those things. “You don’t know you’re beautiful and that’s what makes you beautiful,” etc. It’s disgusting. We are terrific & we should be able to acknowledge that & anyone who disagrees isn’t worth a moment of your time.
