Morning Pages are three pages of longhand writing, done daily and shown to no one except yourself.
An Artist Date is a once-weekly, festive, solo expedition to do something that interests or enchants you.
The Walks are done twice-weekly, for twenty minutes or longer. They help to integrate the insights that are the fruit of the other two tools.
With Morning Pages, you are building a “radio kit”—telegraphing the Universe with what you like, what you don’t like, what you want more of, what you want less of. With Artist Dates, you have set the dial to “receive” and you take in hunches and intuitions. With Walks, you integrate the other two tools.
In my experience, it is impossible to work with these three tools without experiencing a creative breakthrough. I hope you reach yours.
