I’m told it’s gonna be pretty cold for Nuit Blanche tonight. Currently wearing: thick black leggings, long dark grey tank top, lighter grey merino sweater. I’ll throw on a black hoodie and purple or blue scarf over the top, I’ll wear my shearling Bean boots (mmm warm), and I’ll braid my hair and put a woolly beanie over top.
Rough plan for the evening:
-Drop by LCBO to get a small bottle of something boozy
-Walk over to the Yonge/Bloor area to check out a cool Japanese-themed installation being (wo)manned by this lovely Maggie Gyllenhaal lookalike I met at a cabaret show last month
-Go to the Carlton cinema and take pictures for a possible future Free T.O. See blog post
-Check out some dance performances at the Betty Oliphant theatre
-Head down to the Bremner Blvd. area to see cybernetic witches, Arctic animals, a maze shaped like a human brain, etc.
-Walk west to the Entertainment District to see jazz-age cinema, interactive Pong, and movie-musical singalongs
-Grab some grub at Kanga meat pies just off Queen West
-Walk up to Kensington Market and look at a sex worker-themed installation + some beachballs painted to look like globes
-See Max’s Ghost Daze show outside Sanderson library at 12:20AM
-Visit my friend’s art studio nearby for a little while
-Depending on how tired I am by this point, maybe hit up some installations in the Queen’s Park and Nathan Phillips Square areas
-Lots of coffee!!
