I made a notebook called 2014 and I created some notes in it: Movies, Books, Major purchases, Highlights of the year, and Finances.
Movies and Books will be, of course, lists of books and movies I consume for the first time in 2014. (So, in other words, not necessarily media that came out in 2014 but just media that came into my life for the first time this year.) I’m going to write a mini-review next to each item as I add them, to help me remember my impressions of them. (Might also add TV and theatre categories, now that I think about it.)
Major purchases and Highlights of the year are also to help me remember important stuff that happened. I’m thinking that the Highlights note will subtly motivate me to do more good stuff, the way making gratitude lists motivates me to look for good things in my life.
The Finances note is a table, so I can write down how much money I made from each source each month.
