Tips for starting off highschool?

-Don’t take it too seriously; try to just enjoy the ride.

-Your grades only really start to matter around grade 11 or so. However, it’s still a good idea to develop good study habits in your earlier years.

-Pay attention to what interests you and what doesn’t. Try to have some idea of what you’d like to study in post-secondary school, if anything, by the time grade 12 rolls around. If you’re still not sure, that’s okay; there are many general/open-ended programs available.

-Remember that anyone who is mean to you is behaving that way out of deep-seated insecurity. You shouldn’t listen to people like that. Just do yo’ thang.

-Join clubs and extracurriculars that interest you. You’ll have fun and make friends.
