My house’s entire electrical system is being rewired today, so there’s no electricity all day and the entire house is filled with sounds of drilling and the fire alarm randomly beeping for no reason at short intervals.
Needless to say, I have fleed the scene and am now hanging out at the coffee shop where Cadence works, hoping to get some writing and reading done in the relative peace of this bustling café.
