Here is the story of my first visit to a sex shop, as told to a friend I was talking to on Facebook sometime in 2008.

Well, as the story goes, Charlotte took me to the most amazing sex shop called Good For Her. Jamie came along as well. The three of us perused dildos (we found one that was flaccid - what the hell? what’s the point? but I digress) & harnesses & DVDs & books & such. (Butch is a Noun was displayed, I noted with glee.) Upon examining the vibrators, they all looked kind of scary & aggressive & manly, which, being in one of my lesbian phases, I did not take a liking to. But then I saw the most sweet adorable little rubber duck, & when I turned it on, it was oh so very strong & quiet. & I thought, “I must have this.” So I bought it. & named it Olivia. The end. Oh, wait, & it’s waterproof (duh, ‘cause it’s rubber). How freaking amazing is that.
I love how sex toys come in so many different colors & designs. My next purchase, I think, will be a purple sparkly dildo. Just ‘cause.
