1. breathing slowly, methodically, and consciously can help a wide array of ailments and anxieties. when i feel nauseous or nervous, am struggling with a physical task (like running or carrying heavy groceries), or feel my thoughts straying in a bad direction, i take long, slow breaths and really focus on the feeling of air going in and out of me. it helps so much. it’s absolutely astonishing.
2. you are under no circumstances obligated to engage in discussions with assholes on the internet. do not feel compelled to answer rude messages or reply to argumentative posts. these people essentially live in your computer in the context of your reality, and so they don’t need to affect you unless you let them into your “real life." so don’t.
