What changed was that I’m in the right program this time around, instead of a program I just chose because it seemed vaguely interesting and general enough that I didn’t have to commit to anything.
Getting back into the swing of school wasn’t hard for me, because I’d had the year off before that and so I was itching to get back into a regimented schedule.
Not to mention, I had a job doing customer service during my year off, so I still had to work and stay on top of things. The hardworking part of my brain didn’t atrophy during that time, which was good.
