A lot of folks there are looking to make out, hook up, etc., so you might get hit on or propositioned or whatever, but everyone I’ve ever met there has been really respectful and consent-conscious – so if you tell them you’re not interested in hooking up and are just looking for friends, I think most people there would react positively to that.
Also, many of the folks there are somewhat tipsy and will be dancing and/or playing Truth or Dare, etc., which makes for a great environment to connect with people, including on a friendship-only level.
