In Toronto, assumedly?
• Casa Sushi – my absolute favorite sushi place because it’s good quality but inexpensive (my favorite roll set, which contains 24 rolls, only costs $15). I go here (or get takeout) at least once every couple of weeks.
• Tsaa – the place where Damian and I had our first date! It’s a little tea shop that also has amazing food, beautiful cupcakes, and a calm atmosphere. My friends and I meet here for tea a lot.
• Japango – my other favorite sushi place, which Damian introduced me to. We tend to reserve it for special occasions because it’s pricey.
• The Riverdale Perk – a lovely little local café that also does sandwiches, soup, cupcakes, etc.
• Focaccia – an Italian restaurant downtown. Again, mostly a spot for special occasions (we went there for Valentine’s Day last year and probably will do so again this year). Fantastic food, friendly staff, lovely atmosphere.
• Starbucks – well, duh. (They’re all basically the same, so I don’t really care which one I go to, but the one right next to Bloor station is particularly nice. It’s huge and full of books.)
• Harvey’s – um, I know, it’s just fast food, but if I have to get fast food, I prefer to get Harvey’s or Wendy’s rather than, like, McDonald’s. There’s a Harvey’s in the giant food court near my school and I like going there for lunch because I can get something filling and not too unhealthy for a decent price.
• The Green Beanery – a coffee place in the Annex that I like because it has a lot of seating and big windows that look out on the busy streets. Plus, good drinks.
• Friendly Greek (the one on the Danforth) – my family really loves this place so we go there often for things like birthdays and anniversaries and whatnot. The staff there are very familiar with us because we’ve been going there since me and Max were tiny. We just went there last week for Max’s birthday and they sang to us and gave us free desserts. :)
