Like should I have list book, idea book, diary and dream journal all in one? Or keep them seperated?

I think there must have been a first part of this message that I didn’t receive. Sorry!

As for the question of whether or not to have multiple types of journals… It really depends on whether or not your lifestyle and everyday routine are set up to accommodate lots of different books to juggle. For example, I prefer to carry a small purse rather than a backpack, so it’s easiest for me to only have one notebook that contains everything– everyday journal entries, dreams, to-do lists, shopping lists, goal lists, etc. Really, the only thing I don’t put in that journal is my day-to-day schedule, which goes into the calendar app on my computer and phone.

But you might have a larger bag and/or you might be annoyed by the idea of having everything lumped together in one book.

One possible compromise is to buy a thick notebook and then get some dividers or post-it notes that you can use to divide up the book into several different sections. Or you could get a set of matching notebooks (I love Moleskine volants – they’re color-coordinated!) that look relatively uniform but each fulfill a different purpose. Or you could use one notebook for everything but have a table of contents and a color-coding system to differentiate between functions.

Another reason why it’s great to only have one notebook is that it’ll always be with you – or at least, it’s more likely to always be with you, since it’s easier to carry around one notebook than several, especially if you want to take it to bed with you to write about your dreams, etc.

I don’t know. I prefer to have just one notebook, but again, it really depends on your disposition and lifestyle.
