My mom takes an hour or two to do her makeup and I think it’s too much. She uses so much makeup that I don’t actually know what her skin/face looks like.
I think the goal of everyday makeup (as opposed to special occasion makeup, or, you know, Pride Parade makeup) should be to play up your best features, rather than cover up your real appearance.
I also think the magazines are correct when they say that it’s a bit of an overload to wear colorful eyeshadow with colorful lipstick (excepting unusual occasions).
