lol right?? I get a lot of critique related to my body rather than the outfit. I’m not gonna stop wearing shorts, thanks, but please tell me how to do it so it looks good on me

the whole issue of what’s “flattering” is another can of worms in and of itself… like, yes, i own a mirror. i am aware that i look fat in certain pieces of clothing. WHO SAYS THAT’S A BAD THING? looking fat is not a moral choice, it is not a matter of good vs. bad, it is just a thing. i can look fat if i want to, and i’d appreciate being able to do that without people constantly feeling the need to tell me i look a certain way as if it’s some big embarrassing secret. IT’S NOT!

it also drives me nuts that people think i’m ethically obligated to avoid wearing items like sequinned dresses and skintight skirts just because i’m a curvay gal. don’t wanna look at my body? don’t look at it, then. i don’t have to limit my joyful aesthetic choices just because YOU have a hangup about certain kinds of bodies. suck it, society!
