today my great-aunt ray passed away. we went over to her son/my uncle’s house to have a drink with him and reminisce. it was nice. afterward, he took us to the grocery store and we bought all manner of things - flowers, sweet potatoes, ginger root, cereal, kleenex. now i’m brewing up some ginger tea and thinking about ray.
(she was kind of prominent in the interior design world, and gained notoriety after being repeatedly featured on cityline. here is a video of her being interviewed in her apartment.)
